What exciting project did you work on recently? 
For a supplier in the offshore industry, I worked on a strategic sales plan with the managing director. I really helped to get his thoughts clear, sharpen his vision and create alignment with the sales team. Furthermore, I gave a one-day course for a sales employee to improve his phone skills. We made use of secret callers that day and had a lot of fun and learning moments. I love to work with different levels of the company to promote collaboration. 
 
What did you learn during your career?
I did not know I was so determined when I was younger. At the end of my education, I wanted to work in strategy, marketing, and sales for technical environments and now I still want to do that work, while continuously developing myself. 
I believe that to achieve success in sales and marketing, you have to understand the company and its processes as a whole. Achieving long-term commercial success is not a one-trick-pony. 

Why are you a WISTA member? 
The most important thing I learned from my WISTA sisters is that we women need to support each other in a maritime or technical workplace. Give each other room to grow. I am proud of the ladies that I have known for over 15 years and in how we have been supporting each other’s careers. I am always happy to spend time with them.
